Settings and your data

See your plan, share your budget, manage passkeys, change the theme, see what is new, send feedback, export your data and delete your profile.

To open Settings, select it at the bottom of the menu on the left. On a phone, select the gear icon at the top of the page. Help, next to it, opens this guide, and Feedback sends us a message.

See your plan

Plan, at the top of Settings, shows your plan, the currencies you use and, during a trial, the date it ends. On Free, if you use more than two currencies, you choose here which two stay editable. See Free and Plus.

Share your budget

You can let other people open your budget, for example a partner you share a household with. They see all your accounts, categories and transactions. Sharing is part of Plus. The person needs to have signed in to the app once.

1. In Settings, under Sharing, type their email address in People in your budget.
2. Choose View only (they can look but not change anything) or Can edit (they can change everything, except who is in the budget), and select Add person.

To change someone’s access, pick the other option next to their address and select Save. Remove takes their access away at once.

When someone shares a budget with you, Budgets you can open lists it next to yours. To switch, choose it in the Budget list at the top of the menu, or select Open here. Budget, Accounts and Transactions then show that budget, and a banner at the top of each page says it is shared. Back to your budget in the banner switches back. Leave removes you from it.

AI assistants

AI assistants shows the address to connect an assistant and the assistants you connected. See Connect an AI assistant.

Manage passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock instead of an email link.

• To add one, under Passkeys, select Add a passkey and follow the steps of your device.
• To remove one, select Remove next to it. Then also delete it from your device or password manager.

Change the theme

1. Under Theme, select Light, Dark or System. System uses the setting of your device.
2. Select Save theme.

Currencies and import

• Display currency and Exchange rates: see Currencies and estimates.
• Category rules and Import mappings: see Let rules pick categories.

See what is new

After an update, the app shows What’s new one time when you open it. To read it again, go to Settings. Under App version, select What’s new.

Send feedback or report a problem

1. Select Feedback in the menu, or Send feedback under Help in Settings.
2. Choose Feedback or an idea or Something is wrong, and write your message. For a problem, say what you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
3. Select Send.

The message goes with the page you came from, the app version and your browser name, but not your budget figures. Your recent messages are listed under the form, and show when we have read or handled them.

Export your data

Under Export data, select a format:

• Download JSON: everything in your budget, with exact amounts and the history of every change. Use it to keep a full copy.
• Download CSV: your current transactions, one row for each account, for a spreadsheet.

Export is always available. Download a copy before you delete your profile.

Privacy

The app has no ads and no trackers. It uses your data only to run your budget. The privacy page tells you what the app keeps and for how long.

Delete your profile

1. Optional: export your data first.
2. Go to Settings, and select Delete profile and data.
3. Type delete to confirm.
4. Select Delete everything.

The app deletes your accounts, transactions, categories, imports and history, and removes your passkeys, and signs you out on all devices. If you sign in again, you get a new, empty profile.
